I am a Certified Personal Trainer through NASM as well as a Certified Life Coach while in school pursuing a Nursing Degree. I started my fitness journey at the beginning of 2018 with the typical "New Years Resolutioner mindset". Within a few weeks I realized that my lifestyle had completely changed for the better.
I began my fitness journey at the turn of 2018 in Early January. I was just beginning to crawl out of a dark place and this picture is the first one I have of my "transformation". I remember weighing approximately 120lbs. during this time period. Unfortunately for me, I chose to become a vegetarian at the same time. If done correctly, you can create a very lean and healthy body, if done poorly, you lack the ability to consume adequate amounts of protein. I continued my form of vegetarianism for only about a year. I decided to change back to eating meats as a main source of protein while supplementing with a variety of whey proteins.
After almost 3 years of consistent training at least 4 times a week, I am undoubtly in a much better space overall. Health and fitness is much more than just how your body looks. In order to have a truly health body, you need to work on the mental aspect of life just as much as the physical.
